A lot of players have based their entire knife abillities on the fact that they can use 200 fps, alt strafe and perfect bunny hop / double duck with the use of aliases. Because of this, it was expected that a lot of them would be against removing any of these tools, even though they are illegal elsewhere, because they would have to re-learn basic cs 1.6 stuff such as movement and jumping. 
Removing them means that these people would have to spend months / years in kz servers to learn to be able to do what they did so easily with scripts, so it's totally understandable why they don't want it to happen.

Just because something is in the game, doesn't mean its morally fair to use. Especially when we talk about such flawed game like cs 1.6. Alias/scripts/knifebots are also in the game. Does it make it okay to use all of it? 
I see many people who defend alting/scripting, but noone of these people would like to face players who uses all of this in game. Hipocracy is next level here. 
I don't see anyone using alt jumps to peek someone in public servers holding with an awp or something like this? That would be considered unfair abuse and bannable. So it should be in knifing, alting is unfair gain of advantage no matter how you gonna look at it. And I do Understand it takes skill to learn ALT strafing, but it doesn't change the fact that its a broken mechanic of a flawed game.

Don't discuss 'knife' with me. Default 35hp_2 map don't have parachute/ 3d camera. You are just a bot that running away everytime and jumping with parachute/camera on platform. + you are 5 ping wasted on no talent.

Не вижу смысла спорить о том, какие хорошие или плохие/"читерские" механики есть в игре, которой 25 лет.

Хз, я сам раньше на альтеров смотрел как на читеров, пока сам не стал альтить, ниче сложного, Ривер тут правильно подметил про 200 ФПС + бинд на strafe
